Dialog's Health Specialist Practice Advisory Group

Dialog has established a National Health Advisory Group with the intention of maintaining a body of knowledge and awareness of the evolving trends in the industry.

Dialog is continuing to add to the expertise within the Advisory Group to enhance further our contributions of our partners and clients. Although a select group of consultants has been added to this group, the expertise of the greater pool of national consultants is also available as part of the services provided by the Advisory Group.

Doug Meredith

Doug Meredith
Health Software Development Management

Doug was the project manager for the development of the CIMHA Mental Health application for Queensland Health. The project combined a range of clinical and reporting systems into an integrated application now utilised throughout Queensland. This fixed price, fixed time project was very successful in Queensland Health. It won an Australian Institute of Project Management award for Project Management innovation.Doug has other wide ranging experiences in Health including over 5 years as the IT Manager at a major Brisbane hospital. Other health-related roles include managing a series of critical software development projects for Queensland Health. He actively consults on health informatics issues across Australia.

Daniel Bradshaw

Daniel Bradshaw
Unique Healthcare Identification

Daniel was the Project Manager of the Unique Healthcare Identifier (UHI) Project Business Analysis Team for Medicare Australia in Canberra. He was responsible for a team of Dialog and Medicare Business Analysts delivering UHI Business Specifications based on NeHTA business requirements. He has since worked with Queensland Health on the Wave One eHealth Support Site Project. He prepared the Project Management Plan and delivered work packages for electronic discharge summary, Secure HL7 messaging, Healthcare Identifier Service integration and GP Access to the Shared Health Record.

Michael Fearn-Wannan

Michael was engaged by NeHTA as interim Head of NeHTA's Program Management Office and gained a sound understanding of the organisation and the program of work, which augments his experience in IT in the Health sector over the last 15 years.

John D'Hooghe

John D'Hooghe
Solution Deployment

John was instrumental in the planning and deployment, for BreastScreen Queensland, of the digital mammography solution across Queensland screening and assessment service sites. He was also responsible for business process modelling and vendor engagement. John was applauded for his ability to overcome the inherent problems of a complex, state-wide solution roll-out that required extensive interfacing with end users and vendors.

Chris Telfer

Chris Telfer
Health Data Warehousing

Chris has over 17 years’ experience in Health IT including many NeHTA initiatives. He was team leader for the data warehouse component team of the Victorian Department of Health’s Data Warehouse project. He was also the Northern Territory Health Department’s technical representative on NEHTA’s Architecture and Technology Reference Group.

Paul Potter

Paul led the project team for the NT Personally Controlled Electronic Health Record (PCEHR) project. The complex technical changes had extremely challenging timeframes dealing with five commercial software suppliers requiring progressive change management that resulted in objectives being achieved. The project introduced a level of quality in specifications through to structured testing not previously used by the partners to ensure delivery was fit for purpose and aligned to national standards. A diverse range of engagement and marketing activities were required to address the needs of the broad demographic targets. Sharing of approaches was pivotal to the success and this was achieved through a continual and effective communications structure that strengthened the consortium partner participants into an integrated team. The Consortium comprises NT Department of Health, Aboriginal Medical Services Alliance NT, General Practice Network NT, WA Community Health Services including technical support from WA Health Information Network and Aboriginal Health Council of SA. In addition to internal management of the project team, Paul had responsibility for upwards reporting and coordination to the Project Board and the National eHealth Transition Authority and the Commonwealth Department of Health and Aging.

Craig Gordon

Craig Gordon
Craig is an accomplished senior project manager. He was responsible for the delivery and on-going support for a major mental health solution created by Dialog.Dialog undertook all aspects of the development: project initiation and establishment of governance processes, project management, review of functional requirements, application and technical architecture, design, programming, testing and integration with several existing applications. Craig uses elements of the Agile methodology on his current Health related assignments.

Carlos Hinostroza

Carlos Hinostroza
Carols is an experienced project manager and programmer manager. He has delivered several Health systems within Queensland Health. He managed the implementation of the successful Qld Health Providers Portal which provides General Practitioners with critical patient health information such as radiology reports and discharge summaries. He has assisted a major health-related Project Management Office with improving its project management processes and systems. Risk management was key priority for Carlos.

Patricia Mahon

Patricia Mahon
Patricia is an experienced project manager and senior business analysts who has worked on major health related projects in Australia. She managed the development of the Victorian Restrictive Intervention Disability System (RIDS) which captures restrictive interventions applied to clients who reside in Disability Services accommodation. She also redeveloped the Elective Surgery Referral Service (ESRS) solution to address functional deficiencies and provide a solutions architecture that allows to a new n-tiered Enterprise Application Zone. At Royal Children's Hospital Melbourne (RCH), she built the ePIR application that tracks building works at the Hospital. She has also worked at Austin Health and the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.
